PredicTx Health Raises $1.6M Pre-Seed

Abhijeet Waykar, Co-Founder & CEO October 25, 2025 1 min read

Today marks a milestone that’s been years in the making. PredicTx Health has closed a $1.6 million pre-seed round led by the University of Melbourne Genesis Pre-Seed Fund, with support from angel investors, and non-dilutive funding from Australia's Economic Accelerator (AEA) and the Victorian Department of Health.

From late-night calls and early prototypes to now being backed by some of Australia’s most visionary institutions, this moment hits differently.

PredicTx was born out of a simple but powerful belief that no two cancer patients are the same, and their treatment shouldn’t be either.

We’re changing that.

Our deep learning algorithm uses standard CT scans to generate body composition analyses that help clinicians personalise chemotherapy dosing; making treatment safer, more effective, and truly individual.

This raise isn’t just about capital; it’s a signal of belief in the science, in our mission, and in Australia’s ability to build world-class health tech that improves health outcomes for cancer patients.

Massive gratitude to Western Health and The University of Melbourne for believing in our vision from day one and to the Genesis Pre-Seed Fund, whose support has enabled us to build and grow from our new home at the Fourth Floor Venture Labs at Melbourne Connect. To every advisor, investor, and friend who’s helped us get here, thank you.

The journey ahead is still long, but today we take a moment to pause, celebrate, and remember why we started:

To make cancer treatment more personal, safer, and smarter for every patient, everywhere.

Here’s to the next chapter.
